The Department of Industrial Design of the Xián Jiaotong-Liverpool University in Suzhou, China organized in November 2024 a two-day seminar with the title ’Cumulus Regional Seminar 2024: Design for Inter-Cultural Innovation – Dutch Design Days’.
In this context senior curator Ingeborg de Roode from the Stedelijk Museum Amsterdam put together a virtual exhibition around the theme ‘Tradition and Innovation in Dutch Design’ from its permanent collection – part of which was Satyendra Pakhalé’s early work ’Kalpa Vase & Bowl’. Projected on more than 100 screens on the campus the university transformed temporarily into a museum.
